NFL, R U Ready 4 Vince?

Very interesting Sunday in Houston sports....
-- Didn't take long, just days after bringing Texas the National Title, Vince Young announced he's leaving the 40 acres for the NFL. He will not last past no.3 on April 29 (texans, saints or titans)....
-- His agent will be Bus Cook (clients include Steve McNair,Brett Favre)
-- The Texans released an official statement saying they wished Vince all the best and called him one helluva player, but they cannot officially comment on his future or their interest in him until they receive the official list of nfl draft eligible underclassmen which they will not receive until Jan. 15
-- Texans also interviewed San Diego OC Cam Cameron, real first name is Malcolm...I'd go by Cam as well. Very confident guy who happened to coach Antwan Randle El at IU (the only NCAA D-I QB with 40 td passes & 40 td runs, although when I asked him about that and Vince's abilities he said he's not big into comparisons and also noted that El is no longer a QB ...(and Vince obviously will be)
-- interesting side note on Cameron, he was a 2-sport star at IU in the early 80's (hoops and football-qb) so that means he played under the general Robert Montogmery Knight. Asked him about that and he said Knight talked to him within the last few days and wished him well, Cam commented on how well Knight had done in Texas.
-- T-Mac lasted just one half of the Nuggets game at T-Center until he was taken off on a stretcher b/c of recurring back spasms and ended up at the hospital minutes later...yeah I'm sure they'll lots of games w/o t-mac and Yao....
-- and not to be left out the Astros signed lefty Trever Miller...or should I say re-signed. the 32-yr old had a 5.07 ERA w/ the stros in '99 (4.06 ERA last yr with the D-rays)...guess they can start sizing up World Series rings again....
Plenty to talk about on Monday....
