-- As one of five teams to complete a deal on NBA trade deadline day, the Rockets no doubt lined themselves up for serious playoff run with the acquisition of G Gerald Fitch. Keeping their Kentucky quota at 3 and reuniting Hayes & Bogans w/Fitch you have to believe that this is the move that puts them over the top - Look out NBA!!I actually liked what Denver did. Signing Earl Watson was stupid, but turning that into Ruben Patterson and Reggie Evans while they wait for Nene and Kenyon Martin to shake injuries will ensure that they win their division and now they might even earn homecourt advantage.
And as I keep telling you, the Rockets might not have a chance to make a run to the playoffs because the Lakers aren't going to help them. Still left for LA are 2 games w/Por, Sea & Boston. Even if the Rockets get to 44 wins by finishing 21-7 and I don't think it'll be enough to catch the Lakers and I'm not exactly counting on a 21-7 finish.
