Any Questions?????

Now to the Astros. You name it and it's a problem for the Astros.
Starting Pitching - check/Bullpen - check/Defense - check/Offense - check
Phil Garner is having a bad year, his decisions make you cringe a lot more than they make you smile, and I'm talking about before we see the results. The June numbers (Hitting, Pitching) are simply shocking.
Berkman - .353 BA, 8 HR, 25 RBI
Burke - .346 BA, .992 OPS, 17 R
Wilson - .330 BA, 15 RBI
Everett - .324 BA, 5 K in 74 AB
Lamb - .313 BA, 16 R
Sounds good right, well here's why they're not winning...
Biggio - .244 BA, .593 OPS, 19 K and he bats leadoff
Ausmus - .155 BA, current 0-25 skid, but has drawn 1 BB this month!
Ensberg - .151 BA, .245 Slug
Pettitte, Buchholz & Rodriguez each have ERA's of 6.00
Qualls (4.61), Springer (5.87), Lidge (6.30)
Oh yeah and Garner keeps playing Lane and sitting Lamb against lefties.
Look the Wild Card race is too easy to win this year, the Astros are fools is they don't make several changes to the roster b/w now and July 31.
BTW - Last night in the Minors - Hunter Pence hit his 20th HR of the year for Corpus Christi (AA). Both CC and Round Rock (AAA) are first place teams. Hope the Astros enjoy hoisting Minor League banners instead of Major League banners. We'll keep an eye on these guys over the next couple of weeks.
