NIGHTSHIFT POWER 16 - WEEK 3

Big loss in Austin for the Horns, Big win in Austin for the Buckeyes...so here it is....
1. OHIO STATE-convincing win at texas, troy smith statement game for heisman race
2. AUBURN-gets a whole lot tuffer this wk, welcoming lsu to town on saturday. kenny irons must play large
3. LSU-dominant win over pac-1o also-ran arizona. jamarcus russell becoming very comfortable at qb
4. USC-wk off followed by huskers trip to trojanland this saturday. might want to find a go-to RB
5. NOTRE DAME-home opener a rousing success over penn state. quinn,walker,samardzjia as good as any trio in the country. michigan visits saturday.
6. FLORIDA-shutout of a supposedly game central florida team.if they want an sec title they better win in knoxville on saturday
7. WEST VIRGINIA-slaton has another huge day. he'll do it again thursday vs. maryland.
8. GEORGIA-tereshinski out, stafford in. but they win with defense anyway, shutting out the ol' ball coach and the cocks last week.
9. TEXAS-lost 2 turnovers, forced none,played conservatively on offense - add it up and it's a 17-point loss at home.
10. LOUISVILLE-if there's a major drop off with the loss of michael bush, this is the week it'll show up as the 'canes come calling.
11. MICHIGAN-their 2 wins couldn't prepared them too well for the irish, but hart and grady form strong backfield duo.
12. TENNESSEE-escaped and i mean escaped with a win over air force in knoxville. it'll be forgotten if they're 3-0 after this week's game with florida
13. VIRGINIA TECH-very easy win at unc, yet to be tested including this week's gimme against duke.
14. OKLAHOMA-slow start, fast finish to topple washington. peterson continues to carry heavy workload.
15. FLORIDA STATE-did they really almost fall to troy at home last week? did they really need 2 4th qtr scores and an int to stay unbeaten? wow.
16. IOWA-no drew tate against syracuse and he was missed. 7 defensive stops in OT to avoid upset
