They Don't Call it March Madness because the Favorites Win....

24 Hours Before Selection Sunday and chaos has broken out across college basketball. Many bubbles were burst on Friday as tournament favorites were upset meaning leagues that were expected to pull only 1 bid, will get a second selection. I'll update the field tomorrow morning also, and give you some final selection predictions.

-Nevada losing to Utah State for the 2nd consecutive game ensures another bid for the WAC (Utah State or New Mexico State).

-Rhode Island’s upset over Xavier in the Atlantic 10 semifinals gets a second bid for the A-10 (George Washington or Rhode Island).

Long-shots still alive in their respective conference tournaments include:

Houston (CUSA) Ole Miss(SEC) Arkansas(SEC) Mississippi State(SEC)
Oklahoma State (Big 12) North Carolina State (ACC)

The field could potentially be a mess if any of these teams pull upsets today and tomorrow, especially considering the SEC title game won’t be completed until just a couple of hours before the field is announced. Here's a tentative look at the field headed into saturday's action.

I think the SEC west will get two teams for sure.

No one in the SEC west finished over .500 in the conference. If Arkansas doesn't beat Florida, the SEC gets four teams.
