I'll do my best , but make no promises to deliver daily news on the Astros of the future now that the minor league season is underway.
Brief Thursday night recap...
Round Rock (AAA)-RR 6, Iowa 2: Fernando Nieve got the start, lasted just 4 innings - I would guess because it took him 79 pitches to record 12 outs. He gave just one earned run, but again unlikely he looked particularly sharp. CF Hunter Pence drew a couple of walks and scored a run, but was also thrown out at the plate and also threw a runner out at the dish. 2B Brooks Conrad and C Eric Munson both homered.
