From the weekend, Playoffs, 'Stros....

Must start with a couple of if you missed it clips from the NBA Playoffs...
1. Baron Davis rockin' the rim on Ivan Drago...

2. Flip Murray going up, up, up and over Kirk Hinrich...

The Warriors blew this series in game 2 in Utah, a 5-pt lead in the final minutes and they couldn't figure out how to put the ball in the basket. That's where this series was lost. Unless something miraculous happens and they blow Utah out in Utah in Game 5 and I mean literally run them off the floor in their own building, then forget about another Golden State upset. Just so you know, Utah is a perfect 5-0 at home so far in the playoffs.

The 'Stros took 2 of 3 from the D'Backs, got excellent starting pitching in all 3 games and the bullpen has been light out - including Lidge. The only thing out of the ordinary was Phil Garner not starting Morgan Ensberg in back-to-back games - not coincidentally they were both wins. Lamb started Saturday and went 3-5, scored 3 runs, blasted a home run and had 2 RBI. Loretta got the start Sunday going 1-4, with an RBI and a BB. Ensberg hasn't had a mutli-RBI game since April 13th - and that's his only one of the season. He hasn't had a 3-hit game since April 14th - and that's his only one of the season. Again that is despite starting 26 games. Lamb has 7, Loretta has started 12. The duo that Garner is reluctant to use has 8 multi-hit games and of those 5 are 3-hit days or better. Ensberg has 4 multi-hit games all season and all but one are 2-hit performances. Garner appears to laying the foundation for more bench time for Ensberg finally - so let's see how it plays out. It just should have been done much, much sooner.
