A-Rod stirs it up - this time on the field!

- After the NY Post had some killer headlines and photos regarding A-Rod's alleged skirt-chasing, he decided to try to stir up controversy on the field by going bush league yet again. Screaming at a fellow 3rd baseman Howie Clark as he tried to catch an inning ending 9th inning pop-up. Let's see how it unfolded.

- Thursday's NY Post really laid the wood to A-Rod - or at least tried to make it out like that's what he's been doing all across the country to ladies other than Mrs. A-Rod.

- I'm willing to bet you missed the outfielder crashing head-first into the outfield wall.
- Curious about the front-runners for the '07 Heisman? How 'bout '08?
- Like Star Wars? Like Boogie Nights? Then you'll like this...

- Billy Donovan leaving Bellaire's Jai Lucas for the Orlando Magic head coaching job.
- Here's some info on yesterday ferocious dunker Willie Warren, all the heavies are out recruiting him. But instead of playing in Texas, he'll be on the best high school team in the nation this year.
- Michelle Wie enters women's event, Michelle Wie exits women's event...after 16 holes.
- SI's got the list of top 50 earners among athletes. Not too many surprises, Tiger is 1, Oscar DeLaHoya is 2, the aforementioned Wie is 22.
- Oakland Raiders WR Jerry Porter had a tough choice. He wants to change his number from 84 to 81, but won't because it would cost him $210,000 to reimburse the team and Reebok for unsold jerseys.
- Question posed late in the show. Tim Duncan vs. Hakeem Olajuwon, who ya got? Duncan has 2 league MVP's, 3 titles, 9 time 1st Team All-NBA. Dream has 1 league MVP, 2 titles, 6 time 1st Team All-NBA. Both improved their scoring average considerably in the postseason.
- How about a new football league, the United Football League? That's what Mark Cuban is talking about.

I think UFL has some potential. The whole XFL was perceived as being a joke because of Vince McMahon and all the gimmicks (Cheerleaders showering with players and whatever else). If this league can get some legitimate backers ala Mark Cuban. I think it might have a real chance of succeeding. The NFL isn't helping itself these days with the self righteous covenant they have laid down with the players. I could easily see some of its premier players rolling over into the new league especially if the pay is comparable. There is no reason to believe that it won't be considering the non guaranteed nature of the deals in the NFL.
