Texans respect is coming slowly...Don't Taser Me Bro!!

The power rankings following Week 3 are out & Houston is making the climb up the charts...
- ESPN's 8-man panel bumps the Texans up from #25 to #11. The Colts are #2.
- NFL.com is pretty lazy considering they (Vic Carucci) craps out after the top 12, so his interest in this ranking business is suspect at best. Take it for what it's worth, he's got the Texans at #6. He also has Detroit at #7 after struggling to beat Oakland and Minnesota!!??
- CBS Sports considers the Texans a top ten team - #10 in fact. That's up from #18 and their top team is the Colts.
At 2-0 I think it's fair to have them in the top ten, but I'm not so sure they'd beat the other 22 behind them. Essentially the top 16 teams are the ones that are battling for the playoffs and it sure looks like the Texans should consider themselves among that group.

Why did Donovan McNabb pretend the fans and media criticize him and other black quarterbacks simply because they are black. I will dispute this assertion by going back to last night's game. Philly was down 20-12, 1:13 left to go, 3rd and 6 from the Washington 9 yard line. McNabb drops back, has plenty of time to throw, finds a wide open Kevin Curtis heading towards the front corner of the endzone to his right. His throw missed him so badly that Curtis couldn't even make an attempt to catch the pass. The commentator's comments following that play were, "As a great quarterback - you have got to make that throw." Nailed it. Has nothing to do with race, has everything to do with results. Not to mention McNabb plays his football in front of the most unforgiving fans in the country - they don't care about anything but winning, no matter who we're talking about.

Another reason why I love baseball, I've never seen this before, have you??

Don't ask John Kerry this question or else...wait for the money line at 1:55.

Great article on Martellus Bennett honoring injured Kevin Everett.

Had Fox 26's Matt Sampsell on with us tonight, if you haven't seen his feature on Texans long snapper Bryan Pittman, it's worth a look.
