TIme to start fixing the problems

The Texans 2-0 start is a distant memory, yet 3-3 is not the worst place to be considering where they have been in year's past. However a loss this week to the Titans would confirm they are still the worst team in the division which is problem # 1. Progress - Yes, Acceptable - No. At some point, the Texans will finally get serious about their running game. For them to truly expect that part of their offense to be above average while never focusing on the personnel up front. Eric Winston and Charles Spencer might turn into decent lineman, but even they were still just 3rd rd picks. But just like has been the case for every year of the franchise, the Texans are among the worst rushing teams in the NFL.

Looks like Jeff Van Gundy will have some additional income for the upcoming season. ESPN signed him up to call NBA hoops on TV again, alongside Mike Breen and Mark Jackson. From the official release:

Van Gundy will provide analysis for games on ABC and ESPN – including The Finals on ABC – in a role similar to last year when he was a guest analyst during the NBA Playoffs. “Jeff was a tremendous addition during the 2007 NBA Playoffs and we’re looking forward to more of his analytical perspectives and insightful opinions over the course of a full season,” said Williamson. “I am thrilled to be able to work along side of Mike and Mark as we cover the NBA,” said Van Gundy. “Together, we hope to impart some insight, analysis and humor as we cover all the games, great players and the storylines that arise during the season.”

Just a guess, but peeing in public is bad. But at Baylor they take it a step further. A member of the Bears coaching staff decided to whip it out and relieve himself not only in the bar, but actually ON the bar. I will guess that he's coached his last game for the Bears.

No offense to Mike Flynt of Division III Sul Ross State, he's the 59-year football player, but the most famous Flynt will be Larry. (NSFW) He did create a neat magazine that kinda became popular, also spawned a movie, unfortunately with Courtney Love. Mike's story is a good one though.
