- (new) As I opened the show this afternoon with Rich, naturally we discussed the Rockets abysmal FT shooting. (9-19 last night in an 8-point loss.) Here's some real disheartening numbers. Yao missed the game obviously and he shoots 85.3% on the season. The team is cranking it out at 72.7 %, but take Yao's numbers out of the mix and it dips to 66.7% - disastrous!!
- Maxim popped out a Sexiest list. Not the usual stuff - more like sexiest ILFS, & sexiest passage from the Bible. (via Gorilla Mask) (Maxim)
- Roger Clemens' agents have released an 18,000 word document combating his PED allegations. A website launched as well, lots of bells and whistles - View it here.
- It's Super Bowl week, so it's time for ridiculous SB XLII prop bets. (via With Leather.) (Vegas Watch)
- Reggie Bush
- It still cracks me up when people act like Tiger isn't the greatest golfer to ever live. He won the Buick open for the 6th time. He's won 3 different tournaments six times apiece. He now has 62 career wins, tying him with Arnie for 4th all-time. That leaves only Ben Hogan (64), Jack Nicklaus (73) and Sam Snead (82) left for him to catch.
He finished 12 at the British Open in July of last year. His worst finish since then is 2nd!!! That was 6 months ago. He's won or finished 2nd in every tournament he's played for 6 months. But the best comes from his comments after winning, "I'm still getting better," he said, " I still have holes in my game that I need to fix and need to improve on. I just think that what I've been working on, I'm headed in the right direction."
- This popped up just as the weekend hit. Pranksters got into the Big East coaches teleconference. Potty Humor and frustration followed. (The Big Lead)
- Work in an office? Have a cubicle? Be careful if you head out of town for a couple of days. Beware of the office prank.
- This almost sounds like a joke, but apparently it's not. Weed in a vending machine. Don't forget your prescription.
- Just watched the highlights of the Jazz-Rockets game on ESPNews. They showed basically nothing but Deron Williams highlights. Which I suppose is alright, since Williams essentially won the game. However not one mention of something pretty vital to the game story. No Yao Ming. He's an All-Star for the 6th straight year and he missed his first game of the year with the upper respiratory infection. No mention of it whatsoever. Well done.
