Texans beat best team in NFL

Texans beat the Titans - more to follow.
-------------------------------
(TEXANS 10-6, HALFTIME)
The Titans go 93 yards on 4 plays in just 37 seconds and kick a field goal just before the half to draw within 10-6. Houston is 5-2 this year when leading at the half. (24-17 all-time). Houston holds a 201-135 advantage in total yards and Andre Johnson has been great. He did drop one pass that might have been a touchdown, although it was a difficult catch. He has 8 receptions for 154 yards, giving him 100 receptions on the season to go with 1355 yards.
--------------------------------
(TEXANS 10-3, 1:14 2nd Q)
At some point in his career Matt Schaub will protect the ball. I know Ephraim Salaam completely whiffed on his block and Jacob Ford crushed Schaub from the blind side, but it's makes it very difficult on the offensive line if the quarterback fumbles every other time he gets hit.
It's under two minutes so the Texans should keep the ball, b/c replays show that his knee was already down when the ball squirted free. But still....
--------------------------------
(TEXANS 10-3, 2:00 2nd Q)
Just announced that OLB Xavier Adibi is out with a hamstring injury, his return is questionable. That means Morlon Greenwood is back on the field. Adibi's speed will definitely be missed. Already he forced Collins to overshoot a wide open Crumpler because he rushed Collins throw.
--------------------------------
(TEXANS 10-3, 11:03 2nd Q)
IMHO, the Texans just turned in their best drive of the season. Starting at their own 11 yard line against one of the league's premier defenses and pass rushes, Houston went 89 yards in 5 plays. Andre Johnson beat Michael Griffin on the first play of the drive for a 65-yard completion, then Johnson caught the 13 yard touchdown pass.

The defense followed by forcing another Titans punt.
--------------------------------
(TIED 3-3, 14:57 2nd Q)
Two careless Titans penalties allowed the Texans to drive the field and get their first score of the day - a yard field goal from Kris Brown. Kubiak also went for it on 4th and 1 and converted when Slaton gained 2 yards. The Texans are now 3-7 on 4th downs against the Titans this year. A roughing the passer call and a pass interference oth on 3rd downs allowed the drive to continue and got the Texans on the board. It was a 16 play drive that took 8 minutes and 41 seconds and pushed the game into the 2nd quarter. Most plays on a drive this season for the Texans
--------------------------------
(TITANS 3-0, 8:30 1st Q)
The Texans defense has done their job on the first two possessions, but still trail 3-0. Fred Bennett picked off Kerry Collins in the endzone on the opening possession and the Titans were stopped on third down inside the red zone forcing a field goal try.
The problem is Matt Schaub refuses to protect the football. Eric Winston was beaten Jevon Kearse forcing Schaub to scramble, but like he's done all year he leaves the ball out there loosely for Kearse to slap away - Haynesworth recovered and that's why the Titans lead.

All things being equal, just replace Schaub with Moreno, Aikman, Elway, Montana whom ever. Now, do you kick a field goal with 2 minutes left on the clock knowing that all that other quarterback had to do is to get it into field goal range? Of course not, you go for it. My point being is that maybe Fisher didn't make a boneheaded, Kubi-esk, spectator befuddling play call, maybe Fisher was giving this team (Texans) their props. Everyone is saying it but not saying it at the same time, even you said it at the end of Monday's show when you said all Fisher's decision did was not not give the fans even more of a reason to be ecstatic over this win, when the Texans marched back down the field for a field goal or AJ goes off for another 4 catches and 50yds. So, if you ask me Fisher gave the Texans the respect that all the fans seem to think we don't get and they don't even see it.
