The Baseball season is too long...

When your team is out of the race by Memorial Day, the baseball season is too long. The NFL needs to go to a 20 game regular season schedule beginning the 1st week of August, with training camps beginning June 1st. Would anyone (outside the players) object to this? Could we at least bring back the USFL? Or should I just adopt a baseball team for the remainder of the season, and root for them? Let's go Rangers!

Incidentally, the Heat-Pistons series should be treated like a presidential address and be available on every TV network, forcing even the casual fan to watch the game being played at a high level. I don't ever want to hear, rich, corporate (see: white) America tell me that they can't relate to the players and that the league isn't the same as it use to be.
