Alright Carr bashers and apologists this is for you...

Texans QB David Carr still leads the NFL in passer rating, yet the team is just 1-3. He's in his 5th year and this a major improvement, but what exactly does it mean? It points out two things, 1. QB ratings are not the end all, be all 2. QB's dont determine winning all on their own (see Kyle Orton 2005 with Chicago).

Numbers are nice to help evaluate players and they usually don't lie, but you also have to watch the games and you have to find a way to measure intangibles, especially for a QB.

So here are my personal quarterback ratings for 2006 thru week 6. Not really based on age or contract or hype or anything beyong basically how they have played this year. They are ranked based on the question, "Who do I want quarterbacking my team right now?"

1. Donovan McNabb 107.2Passer Rating/11TD/1INT/12 Times Sacked
2. Tom Brady 82.6/8/3/5

4. Carson Palmer 88.8/6/4/15
5. Marc Bulger 97.2/7/0/13

6. Rex Grossman 100.8/10/3/4
7. Jake Delhomme 81.9/4/1/11
8. Eli Manning 97.1/9/5/9
9. Damon Huard 107.4/5/0/8 - (Trent Green)
10. Drew Brees 91.6/5/2/6

11. David Carr 108.9/7/2/15
12. Michael Vick 69.8/3/2/11
13. Matt Hasselbeck 74.5/6/7/13
14. Brad Johnson 78.3/3/4/7
