Sorry it hasn't been so Daily lately, but we're working on it. Up for discussion today...
- The Giants Michael Strahan shows his frustration with the media. While I think it's laughable to suggest the media is at the root of any of the Giants problems, I think it's also laughable that his Q&A session is being labeled as a tirade. Normally you raise your voice and fly off the handle during a tirade. He strongly explained his position and then walked away. Now did this football player try to intimidate - yes he did.
- Couldn't let these college stories fade away. Two brothers go X-Mas shopping...at someone else's home, uninvited. Did I mention one of the bros was an All-Big ten DB?
- We all know the Aggies had their way with the Horns in Austin last Friday, but did we all know that Colt McCoy is not tough and that's why the Horns are losers not only this year but likely next year, too? Here's the less-than-professional column from the Battalion in College Station. Yep, the student newspaper, so that would explain the blog-like, message board type of work this Pederson kid churned out. Not fit for a truly respectable major publication. Opinions are fine, but you might want to recognize the McGee,for now, is a running quarterback and McCoy is not, so a comparison of the too in light of that makes little sense.
Hoops
-What is it with the selfishness of the Knicks? Steve Francis did it in Houston and Orlando - then got traded to the Knicks. So Knicks guard Nate Robinson tries it...and fails. Passing to yourself is weak.
-No photos or videos on this injury, which apparently is a good thing as the Sixers lose Shavlik Randolph to a gruesome ankle injury in practice. Reaction of his teammates tells the whole story.
MLB
-Get Albert Pujols a diaper and handkerchief please. He is slowly turning less and less liable everytime he opens his mouth.
-The most maligned yet surprisginly effective MLB commish is calling it quits...in 3 years. Bye-bye Bud.
more likely later today prior to showtime...
