Rox Win Little D, Huntsville hunts the Rocket, Surfin the Net

It's OK to say this since I got it straight off the Mavs blog on the DMN. "No Dirk or not, this is a debacle."
As I suggested during halftime, the third quarter would be huge. After the Mavs tied things at 55, the Rockets decided the game was over and they built as much as a 22 point lead in the 2nd half.
Here's the list of the all-time greatest winning streaks in NBA history. Only 6 teams have ever won more than 17 games in a row. EVER!!!!!!!

Also Mavs now 4-5 since Kidd's arrival. And 0-5 against western conference playoff teams in that same span.
----------------------------------
Rockets now lead 87-70 after 3 periods, thanks to a 32-15 closing run after Jason Kidd tied the game on a 20' jumper. Houston is 36-4 when leading after 3 quarters. Also 14-0 when leading after 3 quarters on the road.
----------------------------------
Halfway through the game in Little D, the Rockets have shot well enough to be running away and hiding with this one. Problem is their rebounding has not been what it needs to be as they have allowed 9 offensive rebounds and 9 2nd chance points.

The Rockets have had at least 20 assists in every game of the 16-game winning streak, but had just 8 in the first half. A lot of loose balls have gone the Mavs way despite the fact they shot the ball very poorly. Rockets need a fast start to the 2nd half.

Roger Clemens got a job offer. In baseball. Probably not what he is looking for though. Check it out.

It'll be a Thursday night staple leading up to the NFL draft on the show as we welcome in draft gurus from around the country. Tonight Shawn Zobel of draftheadquarters.com joined us. Listen here.

We also mentioned the Sports Guy over at the worldwide leader threw together a fake NBA mailbag - halfway through you'll find a couple of entries from a C. Landry, Houston.

Here's Kevin Garnett mocking his former and now once again current teammate Sam Cassell.

Did you miss the end of the Aggies much-needed victory over the Bears Wednesday night. For some reason, Baylor was launching off-balance threes as time winded down - even though they were down double figures. That's when Donald Sloan decided he'd practice for the dunk contest. The fans did not like it.

In the last 5 games our new rookie PF ScoLandry has averaged 28.2ppg and 12.4rpg. Somehow he also managed to average 48.6 mpg. I guess that just shows how awesome he is.

The rookie duo has also combined to nailed 58-of-89 (.651) from the floor. Scola (32-51) & Landry (26-38) rarely take shots they can't make and make an incredibly small number of mistakes - at either end of the floor. Hard to believe this is their first go-round in the NBA.
