Regarding last in ...
The only addition from the last version is Faggins makes the team. The play from the cornerbacks has been atrocious. Faggins had been fair, but that was good enough to probably to be better than every other corner other than Bennett. There are still 9 DL in the roster here, so if one were to get sliced, I'd still have to make that be Weaver. Only because he is asked to drop into coverage so often and really isn't equipped to do that, still can't figure out what the coaches are thinking on that one. Jacoby Jones is no longer on the bubble.
Regarding the last cut ...
Cutting Colvin means the GM is admitting a mistake - but consider it's aabout a $1 million mistake if they cut him before the season, but $1.3 million mistake if he makes the roster, thus nabs his $300+ K roster bonus. Colvin has done nothing to suggest he'll make any kind of impact whatsoever in the pass rush game, so let him go. Barber and DelJuan Robinson and possibly Harrison will all land on practice squad.
ON THE SHOW
- As you know this section is dedicated to all the things we'll discuss on The NightShift.
- At 6:20pm (cst) we'll welcome in Peter Bean from Burnt Orange Nation, so we can handicap the chances that Howard Schnellenberger is right and Florida Atlantic comes in and pushes around the Longhorns.
- We'll discuss A.J. Pierzynski and what a tool he is. By falling down, he basically fooled an umpire into making a bogus call and it impacts the AL playoff race in a big way. Amazing that this guy can sleep each night.
