Artest is all over the place

- Ron Artest will say just about anything. Here's an interview he did Wednesday night with Kings beat writer Sam Amick. Sounds like he wants a long term deal, or not, who can tell.
- Artest spent a good part of his night on 1140 KHTK in Sacramento with Carmichael Dave. He'd been making regular appearances on the show and he took calls - mostly from Houston. He was invited to be a part of some strange Asian sandwich. The podcast might not be up on their site yet, but plenty of Artest sound can be found to tide you over.
- Over at the Sporting Blog, I'd have to agree with the thoughts of Bethlehem Shoals in his post titled Ron Artest Completes the Rockets.
- Things are way out of control over at Minute Maid Park. GM Ed Wade has now traded a player they drafted in the 10th round just a year ago for a player who was literally sitting around doing nothing. They added RHP LaTroy Hawkins and shipped out Matt Cusick, a minor league 2B hitting .285 for Lexington. Here was Hawkins quote on the deal, “I'm pretty excited,” he said. “I was sitting at home doing nothing. Now all of a sudden a team wants me. I’m pretty excited about that.” It is laughable what the Astros are doing now.
- Speaking of laughable, the Astros AA team in Corpus must really be proud after getting 2-hit Wednesday night. You think they are more proud of the 13-0 final or their 5 errors?
- I doubt many of you have been viewers of the two previous installments of The Real Housewives...on Bravo. They've focused on Orange County and then New York. The latest installment is The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Among the 5 women that are featured...the wife of Cleveland Cavaliers guard Eric Snow, the wife of NFL linebacker Ed Hartwell and the ex-wife of former Atlanta Falcons offensive lineman Bob Whitfield.
- Every couple of weeks a link regarding the Sports Radio scene in Houston pops up on the greatest fan site in pro sports - Clutchfans. Here's the latest one. Thoughts?
