Best Week Ever...hopefully

Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, New Orleans Hornets. Over the next 8 days the Rockets will play each of those playoff teams. (They also have their lone trip to Charlotte and the bottom of the East's playoff picture is so pathetic that currently the Hornets are just one game out of the playoffs. You look good and you knock up some of these teams - then the rest of the league will finally take you seriously, but more importantly the Rockets will realize if they bust it - then the season will not be a bust.

The Lakers and the Spurs will be at Toyota Center Wednesday and Friday. The Rockets really need to win at least one of those games. Here's 2 reasons why.
1 - It will continue to build their rapidly growing confidence that their "new" look team can beat anybody they might face in the playoffs.
2 - It will help ensure that they don't face either one of them in the first round.

The Rockets arguably have the toughest remaining schedule among playoff teams they have 13 remaining games (out of 18) against teams that are .500 or better. No team has more. Only 8 of their final 18 are at home, with 10 on the road and just look at who is coming in to Houston - Lakers, Spurs, Pistons, Timberwolves, Clippers, Blazers, Magic, Hornets. They have at least one game remaining against all 8 western conference playoff contenders.

However the Rockets are 9-2 since the McGrady injury and 8-2 since the Alston trade with wins over Dallas, Portland, Cleveland and Phoenix. Boston, Cleveland, LA, San Antonio and maybe Utah are the only teams right now that I think are better than the Rockets - and the Rockets are a very respectable 5-6 against those teams this year.

Can't Miss Vids
Never say never, but it's very unlikely I'll post another video quite this awesome.
Ray Maualuga could learn a thing or two from this mild-mannered sports fan.
Now please enjoy.

UFC 96 in the books and more great stuff as usual, the main event was strong with Rampage beating Keith Jardine, but Rampage was only just getting started. He was much more memorable on the mic after the fight. Especially at :17 seconds and at 1:10. We get it Quinton. Classy.

H/T - Awful Announcing
===================================
While we're all sick and tired of the ACC lovefest that goes on every year from all the pundits with DUke and UNC and all that crap, but ACC fans have so freaking phenomenal this year. Especially when it comes to the Blue Devil haters and they are everywhere. Can you figure out what the Va. Tech crowd is screaming at Greg Paulus? And listen closely to the announcer at the end - who obviously couldn't quite make out the chant.

"Tea-Bag-Paul-Us" from Will Brinson on Vimeo.
You might want to head over to faniq.com to catch the Paulus tribute video. Even Duke fans have to laugh.
