Oswalt is gone,

The confirmation on the Oswalt deal is trickling in. Around noon, reports surfaced that he will accept the deal and he's going to Philadelphia. Reportedly, The Astros will kick in more than $10 million to seal the deal, with the Phillies increasing Oswalt's 2012 buyout by $1 million. (from $2 to $3 million).

Although at 1:00pm central still unofficial, several sources reporting that J.A. Happ and Anthony Gose are coming to Houston. Here's a video for Gose and a post-2009 scouting report on the 19-old speedster.

- Click here for the scouting report.

Gose had 76 steals in 96 attempts last year in low-A ball, he led all of the minor leagues. This year in hi-A ball, he's got 36 steals, but has been caught a whopping 27 times. Either he's a horrific base stealer or the catchers in the Sally league are phenomenal. Here are his minor league stats.

Matt & I were guessing the Gose may be involved and I was not shy about being rather unexcited about this 19-year old. Probably a strong defensive player and a speedster, but everything else about his game is merely a hope or guess. His .710 OPS and .325 OBP are flat out not good. He has not shown any reason that he's an upgrade from Michael Bourn. He's just younger. The book is not written on any 19-year old hopeful, but that's what I see in him now.

Again, nothing confirmed yet - it's now 1:08. Let's see if Singleton or Cosart are in the deal...

UPDATE: 1:53 FoxSports.com Ken Rosenthal says Jonathan Villar is also in deal. Again unconfirmed. I sure hope so. He's a 19 year old shortstop who has good speed...and nothing else (as far as I can tell). Luckily he has a glove...err...a terrible glove. 42 ERRORS in 100 games!! Is that even possible. I can only hope the reporting on this deal is way wrong and the scouting reports on the players involved is way off. This has the makings of a horrible deal. But hey it's not official yet, no need to jump off yet Astros fans!!
