MJ & I ranked the NFL QB's the other day. We both had Matt Schaub in the top 10. His list is on a previous post with Schaub 10th (ahead of Eli, behind McNabb). My list looked like this.
1. Peyton Manning - Colts
2. Drew Brees - Saints
3. Tom Brady - Patriots
4. Phillip Rivers - Chargers
5. Aaron Rodgers - Packers
6. Tony Romo - Cowboys
7. Brett Favre - Vikings
8. Ben Roethlisberger - Steelers
9. Matt Schaub - Texans
10. Donovan McNabb - Redskins
11. Eli Manning - Giants
12. Matt Ryan - Falcons
Sporting News asked an NFL director of pro personnel to rank and analyze the top 20 QBs. Schaub not in the top 10. Or the top 15!! Carson Palmer is top 5! Still want to read it? CLICK HERE
- The preseason All-Big 12 team was released today. The media give the Aggies the nod on offense and defense for the player of the year. The Sooners lead the way w/ 7 players, Horns follow with 6 - 5 of them on defense.
- Saw Fran Blinebury of nba.com out at Toyota Center the other day - he didn't mention he was working on this melodic & clever NBA offseason story. Rockets apparently not big enough movers and shakers to get a mention. What song should it be for the Rockets?
- Tracy McGrady is looking for an NBA job right now, having just worked out for the Clippers and also indicating via twitter that the Clips, Bulls, Heat and Lakers were his likeliest landing spots. That's interesting enough. But he also tweeted how he nearly was drafted by the Bulls way back when, but MJ killed the deal to move up to get him since it would've cost them Pippen.
I'd heard about that before but here's is a very entertaining description of what took place and what the scouting report was on T-Mac as he jumped from HS to the league. (h/t to cgrock24)
Tomorrow's show: Rashard Mendenhall of the Steelers (7:20a), Milo Hamilton (7:30a) and some really unfortunate predictions about the Texans in 2010.
